Darya Azari, née le 29 mai 1989

Born in 1989, Darya Azari is a professional painter and filmmaker with a deep passion for art and creative expression. She holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Law from the Science and Research University of Tehran, but her true calling lies in painting, filmmaking, and artistic exploration.

 

Darya began painting professionally during her teenage years and started teaching watercolor painting at the age of 24. For several years, she ran her own art studio in Tehran’s bustling Tajrish district, where she inspired many budding artists. Currently residing in France, Darya continues to pursue her artistic career, focusing primarily on landscape and figurative painting, with a special emphasis on plein air (outdoor) landscape drawing and painting.

 

Under the guidance of the renowned artist Ali Taghva, she honed her skills in plein air painting, which remains a central part of her practice today. While she has explored various painting styles, Darya is particularly drawn to the movements of Impressionism and Expressionism, finding profound inspiration in the works of Paul Cézanne. Her admiration for Cézanne played a key role in her decision to move to France, where she seeks to immerse herself in the country’s rich artistic heritage and elevate her craft in an inspiring environment.
